Under a full moon with great weather, New Milford’s annual “Trunk or Treat” for Halloween was a great success!
The annual Trunk or Treat is organized and managed by the New Milford Parks and Recreation department while CERT and the Police department help keep the event and traffic flowing.
Halloween, October 31st, 2020. The New Milford, CT Parks & Recreation department put together the annual “Trunk or Treat” as a drive through this year due to COVID-19. It was a one-way trip with candy collection for the kids and lots of entertainment around the John Pettibone Community Center.
All participants were asked to open their trunk as they enter the drive through so that candy can be placed in trunks or a member from each vehicle (that was not driving) was able to hold a bag out of the window in order to receive the candy while remaining in their vehicles at all times.
We would like to thank the volunteers, residences, local businesses and organizations who made the 2020 Trunk or Treat possible. They purchased and facilitated the candy distribution, decorated their vehicles and dressed up to scare and entertain you when driving through. New Milford CERT had a dozen member volunteers with Albert Tani as Incident Commander (IC).
The volunteers, companies and organizations who helped make his great event possible are in order of the drive through below.
